Family & Children Services is a private, nonprofit health care and human services organization that offers counseling, educational and prevention programs. It serves the mental and health care needs of children, teens, adults and families in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties in California. Family & Children Services serves more than 8,000 clients through over 100 community-based locations throughout California in collaboration with local schools, county agencies, health clinics, workplaces, and child care and community centers. It provides anger management training and domestic violence prevention programs, as well as mental health and family counseling services. The organization also offers conflict mediation, crisis counseling and substance abuse treatment services. Additionally, it provides financial educational services and assistance with low-interest loans. Family & Children Services maintains one of its facilities in Palo Alto, Calif.
