History

Clifton's original Pacific Seas ushered in the celebration of a uniquely Californian take on Polynesian culture in 1931. As the first fully Polynesian themed eatery in Southern California, it quickly became a favorite for locals and tourists alike-- luring people to its bamboo huts and waterfalls with the promise of a respite from the economic hardships of the Depression. Visionaries like Walt Disney, Ray Bradbury and Jack Kerouac found inspiration within the fantasy environment and helped make the venue one of the most beloved locations in Southern California to escape the mundane and experience the Art of Adventure.

If you have never had a decent Mai Tai or Polynesian drink go there! They spent a boat load on the decor and they even have a boat in there! Pacific Seas won't disappoint
