History

Founded from a desire to get lost, find remote beauty, and travel self-reliantly, Pacific Overlander emerged as an opportunity to offer the joys of overland travel to the broader community of adventurers. On a surf trip along the Chilean coast, Mason Schreck, the company's founder, and his brother Thomas found themselves forced into their camper van by winds that rendered their somewhat shabby, roof tent unsleepable. Crammed in with surfboards and dripping wetsuit booties, the two recognized that having the right equipment could make all the difference. There was a better way to do things. Pacific Overlander was envisioned as a solution. Today Mason, along with help from a crew of talented friends, family, and partners, strive to deliver the best possible rental product.
