Founded in 1970 and headquartered in Hayward, Calif., Pacific Cheese is a privately owned supplier of natural cheese and cheese products in the West. Pacific Cheese operates manufacturing plants and distribution centers in California and Nevada that are approved by the Department of Agriculture. The company employs more than 200 professional personnel and supplies a wide variety of imported and specialty cheese to the national and regional food service distributors, restaurants and retailers. It also serves as a link between manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers. The company provides cheese of various brands, such as Cheswick, North Beach, California Select Farms, Bellafoglia and Grand European. Its brands offer a variety of cheese, such as cheddar, Monterey jack, provolone, mozzarella, Parmesan and cream cheese in slice, cube and shredded forms. Its Grand European brand offers special cheese varieties that are used for the preparation of gourmet deli food.
