In 2000 Neto began training under Professor Osvaldo Alves (an IBJJF red belt) eventually receiving his black belt in 2008. He is a two time world champion in both gi and no gi competitions, and has received many medals from competitions all over the world. Professor Neto is now a 3rd degree black belt (IBJJF)
