History

Dr. Britta Tomer and Dr. David Shen purchased the orthodontic practice from Dr. Benjamin Ichinose in 1984. In 1986, the practice was renamed to OrthoWorks Orthodontic Group. Dr. Tomer and Dr. Shen practice along with five Orthodontic Specialists each specializing in different aspects of the orthodontic field including Surgically Assisted Orthodontics, Lingual Braces, Cleft Palate and Cleft Lips, Computerized Digital Mapping Orthodontic Techniques, TMJ and Sleep Apnea. Over the years, thanks to the support of our orthodontic family, the practice has grown from its original three offices, to a total of ten offices throughout the Bay Area. We have helped over 60,000 orthodontic patients to bring out the best of their smiles with orthodontics. Our vast knowledge and experience enable us to consistently craft the most beautiful smile and facial aesthetics for our patients. In 2013, OrthoWorks Orthodontic Group was featured in SF Magazine Best of The Bay Issue.
