Open Arms Rescue is a non-profit organization based in Imperial Beach, CA, dedicated to rescuing and finding forever homes for smaller breed dogs. They operate as an all-volunteer based charity, rescuing dogs from shelters across Southern California and even as far as Mexico. Open Arms Rescue focuses on providing medical care, vaccinations, and fostering for dogs in need, including those from high-kill shelters and injured dogs requiring surgeries. With a strong network of volunteers and foster homes, Open Arms Rescue ensures that all dogs available for adoption are spayed/neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and treated for fleas and ticks. They rely on donations and adoption fees to cover medical expenses and are always in need of supplies and volunteers to help foster these small breed dogs. HistoryHelp San Diego Ferals is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of cats and kittens in the community. We are a no kill, all volunteer rescue group operating through the generous donations of the community members. From our start in 2010 to the end of 2012, we have rescued over 90 cats and sterilized over 150 adult cats in the community. Yes that's just in 2 years, realizing there is a real need for us we will continue to save the lives of these wonderful kids.
