Food was great as was the service. The ambience was very calm and chill. Came to eat after the end of a conference and glad I stopped by.

No crackers for our delicious clam chowder or Sriracha or hot sauce for that matter, but otherwise 5 star.

My husband and I had a lovely last meal here in Monterey stopping into Grotto's. We had a 15 minute wait, then were seated. Every staff member we had an encounter with was very friendly & kind....

Delish spot on the wharf for steamed clams and a cup of chowder. Service was quick. We sat at the outdoors area with the smaller menu. Warning no fish and chips here just pastas, steamed goods.
