Established in 1999, Odyssey Charter School provides learning opportunities for more than 240 students in kindergarten through grade eight. Its academic curriculum includes classes in a range of subjects, such as language arts, math, science, social studies and history. The school also administers art, music, visual literacy, and physical and special education programs. Odyssey Charter School serves an ethnically diverse community that includes African-American, Caucasian, Latino and Asian students. The school encourages parental participation in various volunteering and fundraising events. Additionally, it organizes several field trips. The school is approved by the Los Angeles County Board of Education (LACOE). Odyssey Charter School is located in Altadena, Calif.
