Aldar Academy is a private, nonprofit school specializing in training and educating handicapped students. It serves ages 4-22 and from kindergarden to 12th grade. The school serves the disabled, including the emotionally disturbed, attention deficit disorder, developmentally delayed and mentally handicapped. It also provides individualized services as identified in the IEP (Individual Educational Program). Established in 1975, the acadmey is certified by the California State Department of Education. Students at Aldar are referred by the school district of residence and the academy works with school districts to meet the educational needs of the students .The school is located in Sacremento, Calif.
