Very nice beach and popular surf spot, however, it is normally pretty crowded, so my recommendation would be to come early.

I always enjoy going to Oceanside because it's the closest beach to where I stay. There's a kids play area south of the pier if that's what you're here for. There's a surf school/ jr lifeguards...
