Oakhill Cemetery District

Oakhill Cemetery, located in Oakhurst, CA, has a rich history dating back to 1875 when the first burial was made by Frankie Nichols. Situated on a picturesque oak-covered hill, the cemetery spans 7 acres and offers both niches and ground burials. It is also home to The Little Church on the Hill, a State of California Historical Point of Interest, which was moved to the cemetery in 1957 and restored to its original state.

Incorporated in 1904 and later turned over to the Madera Cemetery District in 1955, Oakhill Cemetery continues to serve as a final resting place for the community.
