Often referred to as the Coulterville Museum, offers visitors a glimpse of the life and times of early California, from the early 1800’s through the boom days of the 1849 California Gold Rush and the post gold rush era of the late 1800’s to early 20th century. Coulterville boasts 132 registered historic buildings, the museum is housed in one of them. The museum is unique in that its various displays feature relics specific to the local area. Both inside and external exhibits. Open Feb. - December, Wed. - Sunday, 10 am - 4 pm, Closed the month of January, Christmas and Thanksgiving. Free admission, donations always appreciated.

This place is real easy to miss, much like Coulterville itself, and that's a shame. It's definitely worth a stop to absorb some of the fantastic history of the area. Plenty of interesting...
