The Northern California Koyasan Temple in Sacramento is a center for Shingon Esoteric Buddhism, a tradition established in Japan in 804 A.D. by Kukai Kobo Daishi. The temple offers a variety of cultural and religious activities, including services, meditation, karate, and taiko classes, fostering a community of spiritual growth and well-being.

In addition to monthly and special services, the temple hosts events such as meditation sessions, traditional Japanese tea ceremonies, and cultural exchange meetups, promoting engagement within the community. The temple also features a gift shop where visitors can purchase Omamori for protection and luck while supporting the temple's mission.

Good Taiko lessons for kids, $35 a month. The instructor Kaori is excellent and dedicated to the students. It's a fun activity for kids and they don't need to be Japanese to take lessons.
