Interested in science and medicine from a young age, Dr. Matlick ultimately chose pediatrics for the fun and enjoyment that children bring to each day. She is able to celebrate big moments in their lives and establish long-term relationships with her patients and their parents. As Dr. Matlick shares, “I find great enjoyment in diagnosing, treating, and educating children on how to lead a healthy life.” As the mom of two young children, Dr. Matlick empathizes with parents and listens to their concerns. She understands that as a pediatrician she must gain their trust and hopes parents will view her not just as a doctor but as a partner in the journey of parenting. Dr. Matlick involves the parents in her approach as she recognizes that each child is unique and wants to provide the support and tools they need to be successful. She focuses on preventative medicine where she employs a proactive approach to her patients’ health care. She received her medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine and completed her pediatrics residency at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital / Stanford University Medical Center. Dr. Matlick has been practicing for nearly 10 years and during that time she has cared for children of all ages. Dr. Matlick enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking and doing yoga when she is away from the office.
