In operation since 2003, New West Charter Middle School is an independent, charter institute that serves more than 300 students in grades six through eight. The school s academic course includes a range of subjects, such as language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. It offers instruction in world languages, visual and performing arts, and physical and health education. New West Charter Middle School also organizes educational field trips to museums, temples, aquariums and laboratories. The school organizes parent conferences, spring concerts, open houses and dance events. In addition, it offers learning opportunities for students with disabilities. New West Charter Middle School manages a library and student government.

This school & its principal Sharon Weir is beyond horrible. They treated my daughter and myself with the utmost disrespect. Their policies are illegal and they refused to abide by LAUSD standards....
