NATIVE DAUGHTERS OF THE GOLDEN WEST
The Native Daughters of the Golden West is an organization dedicated to the veneration of California pioneers, established in 1886. Since 1935, they have been collecting and archiving biographical information on pioneers who were born in or present in California prior to 1870, resulting in over 35,000 entries housed in their California Room Library in San Francisco.
The organization welcomes submissions from both members and non-members, allowing individuals to contribute additional information or corrections to existing pioneer entries. Their research library contains a wealth of resources, including the Roster of California Pioneers, NDGW Archives, and a limited collection of historical documents related to California's history.
