We want all students to have access to educational opportunities where they can develop their fullest potential, rooted in respect for differences and an enduring sense of our common humanity. Recognizing the need for a concerted effort to improve the education of immigrant students, ARC was founded in 1977 to develop curriculum materials and conduct research on best practices for those students. Academic Tutoring Our academic tutoring program, ARC Connections, support students in kindergarten through eighth grade to improve math and reading/language arts understanding and skills. Our programs are characterized by careful assessment of each student, strong relationships with the child's regular teachers and parents, clear learning plans adapted for each student, small groups formulated to foster student growth, multilingual/ multicultural staff, training and supervision by excellent and experienced teachers. These programs address the needs and build on the strengths of each and every student.
