Nakayoshi Gakko
Nakayoshi Gakko, also known as Friendship School, is a two-week summer program in Mountain View, CA, designed for children in grades 1 through 8 to immerse themselves in Japanese culture and tradition. The program offers a full day of activities, including art, literature, social studies, language, and a variety of specialty subjects such as origami, cooking, and taiko.
With a dedicated team of skilled professionals, Nakayoshi Gakko promotes mentorship through its Sempai program, allowing older students to support their younger peers. At the end of each day, all students participate in cultural demonstrations, reinforcing their learning experiences and appreciation for Japanese-American heritage.
