The Museum of History Benicia is housed in four 1850s sandstone buildings in the heart of the historic Benicia Arsenal District, and a former fire station in Downtown Benicia. Highlighting California history as viewed through the lens of Benicia, exhibits cover topics from pre-history through the present day, reflecting the exciting changes in the state of California since the city's founding in 1847. "The history of California is written in the story of Benicia."
