Muller & Sons

History

Alexander Muller is the founder and master craftsman behind Muller & Sons. His first days were in the late 1950's sweeping the floor of Radfored & Sons Upholstery shop, in West Hollywood, Ca., Here is where started his long relationship with furniture. The art of upholstery would soon become his creative outlet. As an apprentice for the Radford & Sons shop, Alexander learned the traditional process of furniture making and upholstery. After almost a decade as an apprentice, Alexander spent two years at Finlays Slip Cover Company, were he mastered the delicate process of the tailored slipcover. In 1972, in Hollywood Ca., Alexander created Muller & Sons Custom Furniture and Upholstery. Legendary interior deisgner Tony Duquette was amoung his early high profile clients. Forty-five years later, Alexander is working with his sons, Patrick and Robert to coniture the long tradition of the custom and reupholstery craft.
