The Mt. Lassen Art Center began in 2000 when I moved here after 32 years of public school teaching in the SF Bay Area.

Specialties

The Mt. Lassen Art Center, seven miles west of the North Entrance to Lassen N.P., offers art lessons, workshops, guided painting excursions, Paint from the Heart a free annual six week program for children 17 yrs. and younger, Creative Expression Classes and free painting to visitors. The 18th annual Mt. Lassen Art Show is planed for July 6 and 7, 2018. Our community outreach programs include Paint Free Be Free and The Homeless Art Project Redding. We feature a gallery. The grounds of the art center features grassy play areas, meditation areas, limited camping and a small amphitheater on Bailey Creek.
