Alissa BenPorat is a long time student of movement--and her own injuries--and believes that healthy playful movement is the fountain of youth and the foundation of life. She combines functional movement, Pilates, and applied neuroscience (Z-health) into every session. She has experience teaching at chronic pain clinics, gyms and pilates studios, physical therapy centers and now runs her business at two locations: The Working Body (399 Grand Ave, Oakland), and Innerstellar Yoga & Pilates (2800 Adeline St, Berkeley). She is R, I, S, T-phase certified in Z-health, and is a staff instructor in the InnerCore Teacher Training program at Innerstellar Yoga & Pilates. She is currently completing certification as a Personal Trainer through NASM.
