Mountain View Elementary School, opened in 1958, is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. The school enrolls students in kindergarten through grade five. It provides special education and gifted and talented programs for students. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as math, science, language arts, English, social studies and physical education. The Los Angeles Unified School District operates more than 100 elementary, middle and high schools. The district also includes Franklin Elementary School, Lockwood Elementary School and South Gate Middle School. Mountain View Elementary School is located in Tujunga, Calif.
