History

In 2003, a small group of concerned citizens banded together and founded the Monument Crisis Center. Enthusiastic students from Mt. Diablo JROTC and Carondelet High School were our first volunteers helping with everything from client intake to donation solicitations. With start-up funding from the Safeway Foundation, Salvation Army, Soroptimist International of Pleasant Hill as well as several individual donors the Monument Crisis Center opened its doors on August 19, 2003. Be on time! This place is AMAZING at helping out families and providing food. Food give aways are once a week. Serisouly, amazing place. Do not be afraid to come and visit.
