The Monterey Peninsula Art Foundation (MPAF) is a non-profit organization founded in the mid-1970s by Dick Crispo, Rudolfo Nava, Ilene Tuttle, and Kay Cline. With a mission to support and promote artists, MPAF offers an annual exhibition for members to showcase and sell their work, providing a platform for artists to kickstart or advance their art careers. Membership is open to anyone interested in art, and each member receives a dedicated page on the MPAF website to display their artwork.
In addition to the annual exhibition, MPAF organizes exhibitions at various public spaces, including the Pacific Grove Art Center and Avery Gallery in Seaside City Hall. While MPAF sponsors a limited membership co-op gallery at the historic 425 Cannery Row address in Monterey, membership in MPAF does not automatically grant membership to the gallery. The gallery waiting list is currently closed, and applications for gallery space are not being accepted at this time.
