Monroe Elementary School

The University of California, San Francisco, also known as UCSF, offers courses in the areas of health care for more than 4,000 students. Eldridge Elementary School, founded in 1956, is a California Distinguished School that provides educational programs to students from grades kindergarten through six. Its facility is spread over more than 10 acres of land and serves more than 460 students. The school offers various programs, such as in-house lunch and breakfast, English language classes for adults, intervention classes for students who are below grade level in reading and math, algebra classes, day care, gardening and after school sports, including basketball and soccer. It also organizes activities, including chess, Scrabble, origami, community service projects, and Italian, Spanish and sign language training for its students. The school provides the Eldridge News Network that is an in-house media network aired weekly. Eldridge Elementary School is located in Hayward, Calif.
