Resurrection Community Church

About Resurrection Community Church Resurrection Community Church is a mission outreach of the Community of the Crucified One founded by Edward Donavan. In 1987 Gary Crandall was sent to establish an outreach in the San Diego area. The home fellowship that grew out of this outreach has grown and thrived over the past years. A long time dream of this fellowship was realized in the summer of 2001 with the dedication of a new church home. About Fr. Gary Crandall Fr. Gary, the senior pastor, has been in ministry since 1973 after experiencing the reality of Jesus and being baptized in the Holy Spirit while living in Afghanistan. Shortly afterwards he become one of the early members of the Community of the Crucified One in Pittsburgh, PA. He and his family were sent out to the San Diego area in 1987 to begin an outreach that has grown from a home based prayer meeting to Resurrection Community Church. About Edward Donovan Bishop Edward Donovan, the founder of the Community of the Crucified One, was given a vision which compels us to go into the highways and by-ways of life and tell all men that Jesus loves them. When they ask, "How do you know?" we point them to the cross and say, "Because He died for you." It is a simple message from the cross and it is a message from which we have never departed. Today we continue this mission by going into the highways and by-ways of life, living in the world but not of the world. As a community of believers we are called to live in holiness as Christ did and follow the example He set for us. In the missions, we travel to all parts of the world to proclaim Christ's Love for them. This is only the beginning and the community seeks to go to all of God's people to tell this simple truth of God's unconditional love for them.
