History

Shaunna began practicing as a Licensed Massage Therapist in New York in 2009 and additionally became a fully certified Lymphatic Drainage/CDT Therapist thru a 160 hour certification training with Dr. Vodder International. Previously running MLP Therapy in NYC for a number of years she has relocated her practice to West Los Angeles. The practice embraces the value of quality care in a warm and welcoming environment offering Manual Lymphatic Drainage/ CDT, clinical and sports Massage Therapy and private Pilates sessions (Im=x method). Shaunna specializes in treating injuries, pain management, lymphedema and venus insufficiencies, post operative healing, working to combat muscular and postural imbalances and improve a sense of wellness. Shaunna enjoys teaching the healthy and progressive form of Pilates that IM=X method and appreciates the value it holds especially when coupled with manual therapies.

Specialties

Manual Lymphatic Drainage/CDT (Dr.Vodder Certified), Clinical Massage Therapy, Private Pilates sessions and combination bookings. Clinical Massage Therapy: Includes a variety of manual therapy modalities such as myofacial and neuromuscular techniques, trigger point therapy and stretching. The duration of a massage treatment can range from 30 minutes to 90 minutes depending on your needs and time constraints Manual Lymphatic Drainage: A very gentile skin technique that is both rhythmic and relaxing. MLD can treat a variety of conditions including swelling caused by cancer treatments, speed post operative healing, venus insufficiency and orthopedic conditions such as frozen shoulder or sprains and strains. Im=X Pilates is a very healthy form of Pilates and a challenging workout! Each private session is tailored for the needs of the individual and can be a wonderful pairing with manual treatment to follow to improve flexibility and posture and reduce pain as well as improve fluid balance and muscle recovery (with MLD).
