HistoryI started my business when I was 9 because my mom told me I had to get all the cakes and cookies I kept baking out of the house and my grocery bill was too high. I gave out samples to neighbors on Halloween night and my mom's phone started ringing right away. I thought I was going to bake one dessert a week and sell a couple cookies or whatever to different people but I started getting calls for birthday cakes, dozens of muffins, and other big orders. I basically have a catering business now and it's really fun.SpecialtiesHello. My name is Payton and this is my dessert business. I'm 10 years old and I love to bake. I deliver fresh desserts to my friends and neighbors in San Francisco. I was recently on the Food Network TV Show called Kids Baking Championship. I have been in numerous cooking classes and hope to be a pastry chef. I have trained at Les Bernard in Vichy, France. I have cooked at 25 Lusk, Town Hall, Slanted Door and Namu with the Executive Chefs. I am in a cooking club that gives me these great opportunities to cook with these fantastic chefs. I got lots of good tips from Celsius and Beyond's Top Chef Camp where I baked with the daughter of the founder's of La Boulange. Some of the many desserts I make are peanut butter cookies, chocolate eclairs, carrot cake, pumpkin cupcakes, chocolate cake, vanilla cake with a strawberry reduction, chocolate mousse pie, cream puffs, gluten free pizzelles, and many more. I make my own chocolate birthday letters, so I can make a birthday cake especially for you. I'm baking and learning new recipes all the time.
