Mixteco Indigena Community Organizing Project (MICOP) is a non-profit organization based in Oxnard, CA, dedicated to supporting, organizing, and empowering indigenous migrant communities. With a focus on the Mixteco community from southern Mexico, MICOP provides a range of programs and services, including community organizing, policy advocacy, outreach, access to health services, healing support, immigration assistance, research, evaluation, interpreter services, and a radio station, Radio Indigena 94.1 FM.

For over 20 years, MICOP has been working tirelessly to address the immediate needs of indigenous migrants, such as food and diapers, while also promoting their cultural traditions, language preservation, and community building. With offices in Ventura County and Santa Barbara County, MICOP has become a vital resource for the approximately 45,000 indigenous migrants living and working in these areas, contributing to the economic success of the region and fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment among the indigenous community.
