Mio Preschool

History

MIO Pre-School is a private day care for children ages 18 mos-5 yrs. We are a part of the First Five, Quality Assessment Program, in which we voluntarily participate in an over all quality assessment of our program every 2 years. In addition we work with the Dept. of Public Health and the Dept. of Mental Health of the city of San Francisco to provide quality care through regular staff trainings. We also participate in the SF Cares program which rewards teachers for continued education and training in the field of Early Childhood Education. In addition to paying families, we accept subsidized care vouchers. More than half of the staff has been working at the school for more than half it's existence. In addition, some of the staff members have graduated children from MIO Pre-School.

Specialties

We provide care to toddlers (starting at 18mos), as well as children up to the age of 5yrs. This is a service that is greatly needed in this part of the city.
