History
The Metronome began in 1991 with a focus on teaching Ballroom Dancing. Through the years, the format expanded to include programs for Salsa, Swing, and Argentine Tango. Many locals remember Metronome at it's long-time location in Potrero Hill. Unfortunately as with many artists in SF, in May 2015 we had to vacate our dance home of 24 years. Dancers always land on their feet though! You'll find us at 136 Missouri St, just 5 blocks down from our original location.
Specialties
You belong on the dance floor! We specialize in teaching beginners how to dance social dances-- salsa, swing, tango & ballroom. Don't worry if you've never danced before or feel like you've got no rhythm. We have the experience to get you past feeling awkward & into feeling great about dancing! Check out our weekly group classes, & private lessons. Also, don't miss last Wednesdays when we have a happy hour/welcome dance.
