Founded in 1982, C. & E. Merdinian Armenian Evangelical School is a religious educational institution that offers a range of learning opportunities for students. It serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. The school s academic curriculum includes history, science, social studies, mathematics, art, music and physical education. C. & E. Merdinian Armenian Evangelical School also has a parent-teacher organization that works for student welfare. The school has a chess club, as well as supports a student council. In addition, it administers after-school dance programs. C. & E. Merdinian Armenian Evangelical School offers opportunities for students to participate in sports activities, such as basketball, volleyball, and track and field. The school is governed by the Armenian Evangelical Schools of California, which is an independent, nonprofit corporation.
