The Department of Parks and Recreation is operated by the government of Stanislaus County in California, which works for the welfare of the general public. The department is responsible for maintaining reservoirs and off-road parks in the county. Merced County Office of Education enrolls more than 54,000 students and more than 20 school districts in Merced County, Calif. Its business services department provides payroll, district, internal business, information technology, stores, printing and grants services. Its migrant education program provides educational and support services to eligible migrant children. Additionally, it offers special education programs for physically disabled students that focus on hearing, vision, speech, learning and physical development. The career and alternative education department provides a wide range of programs and services in the areas of career and technical education, and alternative education and outdoor education programs.
