History

James Mayfield was Mayfield Enterprises' lead Foreman, Environmental Officer, & Health & Safety Officer from 2005 to 2022. Mayfield Enterprises had previously become famous for cleaning up the Cerritos Air Disaster that killed 82 people, for toxic soil remediation in preparation for the placement of the Spruce Goose at the Port of Long Beach, and jetfuel cleanups at Camp Pendleton. Eventually, James applied this experience with a greater focus on environmental reclamation, evolving into Mayfield Environmental Engineering before taking over both corporations at once. All James' licensing and certifications were achieved independently. Among other projects, James Mayfield has managed site maintenance, remediation, and SWPPP planning at ASCON Superfund site in Huntington Beach, Cal Compact Landfill in Carson, O.I.I. Superfund Landfill in Monterey Park, BKK Landfill in West Covina, Camp Pendleton Airbase, Montrose Chemical DDT Superfund, and Development Properties in SoCal.

Specialties

For two generations, we have served SoCal specializing in HazWaste, Environmental Cleanups, Brownfield Remediation, MOLD Inspection, 40-hour Hazwoper Laborers, Jobsite Maintenance, Best Management Practices (BMPs), Stormwater Pollution/Erosion Protection (swppp/npdes), Waste-Water Pumping / Dewatering, Weed Abatement, Road Repair & Grading, Demolition, and Trash Cleanups. We also specialize in Remediation and removal of Hazardous Waste, Contaminated Soils (VOCs), Underground Storage Tanks (USTs), Mold, & 55-Gallon Drums using our special HAZMAT Licensing and SCAQMD-1166. We also do Waste Characterization with detailed Analytical Profiling. We are the ONLY company in SoCal that can simultaneously offer SWPPP/NPDES/QSP/QISP inspections, our own QSDs to certify SWPPPs, provide our own field labor to install BMPs and maintain GCP/IGP permitting, and miles of fire hose for Pumping. We also provide Soil Sampling and Soil Analytical Reports (for VOCs, Metals, Lead, Hydrocarbons, etc.) during remediation, making us one of the most comprehensive (and affordable) Hazmat services in the state.
