I can't tell you all how many times I've been to this Max's over the years, maybe more than 25? This time I used DoorDash and it's like I'm still in the restaurant. The SF location on Market St....

Solid experience at Max's on a Wednesday evening. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express next door and walked over. Wonderful jazz music in the lounge area. The musicians are clearly professionals...

The food is lousy. My husband had a Philly Cheesesteak (inedible) with potato salad and I had half combo corned beef and pastrami w cole slaw on it and chopped salad. My food was a bit better....

Old school lounge/ dinner feel. Food was good and hardy. My server was very friendly and greeted with a smile and double checked everything was good. I would go back.
