The firm was established in 1954 when Gerald Matson purchased the Eureka office of Franklin Georgeson, Architect. Gerry was the Principal Architect until 1986 when Peter Vallerga purchased the firm and changed the name to Matson & Vallerga Architects. In 2006 Mark Gaxiola purchased the firm and is the Principal Architect/Owner.
