History
Martis Creek Lake is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The lake is a flood control lake and is kept at minimum pool. Only non-motorized craft are allowed on the lake. Martis is a challenging fly fishing (catch and release only) spot with Lahontan cutthroat, German brown and rainbow trout.
Specialties
Quiet campground with large, shaded sites close to Truckee, Northstar and Lake Tahoe. No hookups, no length limit, camping limit 14 days, firewood and good water available at the campground. No reservations, first come-first serve only.
