Marissa Rivera

History

Marissa Rivera has been dancing for over 13 years training in many different styles such as contemporary, modern, jazz, salsa, bachata and many more. Although she has studied in many forms of dance her true passion shows in Social Dance forms. Marissa competed in the 2014 World Latin Dance Cup in the Pro-Am Salsa division. She was apart of the Alma Latina Intermediate and Semi-Pro Bachata Teams under the direction of Karol Delgado and Zweli Barton. She performed with Alma Latina at Bachatu 2015 in Dominican Republic where they debuted 2 new performances. Marissa is also training in Brazilian Zouk Lambada with world renowned dancers Shani Mayer and Ivo Vieira. She is a member of Ivo and Shani Zouk & Kizomba Teachers Team (ISDC) in LA. ISDC Teacher Team offers 6 Weeks progressive courses in Zouk and Kizomba for beginning, intermediate and advance dancers. She has recently traveled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to train with the ISDC Teachers Team.

Marissa Rivera is a private and group latin dance instructor in Zouk, Kizomba, Bachata and Salsa. She is committed to growing the social dance community in the LA/OC area and teaches Friday classes at Astroia Ballroom. Please contact Marissa with information on private lessons or group lessons.
