Delta Blood Bank, located in Stockton, Calif., is a nonprofit community blood center serving more than 20 hospitals in four central California counties, including Calaveras, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Tuolumne. It maintains an inventory of more than 2,000 units of blood 24-hours a day. It is a community organization offering a variety of services, such as collection, processing, storing and distributing blood and blood components for transfusion. The center is licensed by the Food and Drug Administration and the State of California Department of Health Services. Delta Blood Bank is accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks and is a member of the California Blood Bank Society, America's Blood Centers and Blood Centers of California.
