Yes, there is a Lagoon in Alameda!! It's located near Crown Memorial Beach and the ducks and geese love it!! They put up a "No swimming allowed" sign up near the Lagoon, which is hilarious...

Ok, Mariner's Lagoon is a picnic area near the duck pond. Which is also known as the frog pond or swamp. I'm not sure why it's called a Lagoon. It has picnic tables and bbq grills. Nice open area...
