Great backstory and a whole lot of hidden gems. You can find a Skydiving Drop Zone, go-kart racing, autocross, and a charter school. There's a geocache too! The city-maintained facilities are...

I live across street. The morning helicopters drive me freaking nuts when they start up at 5am every morning. No idea what they are transporting this early each morning but the FAA needs a visit.
