Marin Girls Softball League

History

This clinic is designed to support the 6u-12u age groups using various skills assessments, age appropriate conditioning and instructional drills. Coach Partee, a former varsity softball coach, joined the Marin Tremors in 2012 to encourage the younger generation of softball players. She brings with her a great enthusiasm for the sport, countless hours of coaching experience, innovative new ideas and a regular group of high school volunteers. Most weeks there is a 2:1 ratio of kids to volunteers, which gives the unique opportunity to bond and learn from high school students. A lot of emphasis is placed on throwing mechanics, at this age it is very important to ingrain how to throw properly to prevent injuries. We also cover fielding drills for both IF/OF, base running, conditioning, some batting and introduce various base running situations.
