History

Marconi Conference Center was first created as the North American receiving station for Guglielmo Marconi's ship to shore communication system. The display in Marconi's lobby of the early radio equipment, and historic photos from this period is endlessly interesting. The frame for the original hotel built in 1914 still stands on the property today.

The 40 hotel rooms have been refreshed reflecting the natural beauty of West Marin. Additionally, our dining room, also recently renovated now provides a relaxed sophisticated feeling with 10 foot hand-made communal tables. Marconi makes a great base to discover the abundance of pt. reys sea shore, wine-tasting, cheese tasting, kayaking and biking. It's a stunning 62 acre property in the heart of Tomales Bay.
