Marconi Conference Center State Historic Park
History
Marconi Conference Center was first created as the North American receiving station for Guglielmo Marconi's ship to shore communication system. The display in Marconi's lobby of the early radio equipment, and historic photos from this period is endlessly interesting. The frame for the original hotel built in 1914 still stands on the property today.
