LCB Associates commenced business in September 1979. The principal, Steven H. Banker, had previously worked for a small commercial real estate firm in Oakland. LCB stands for the initials of Steve's grandfather ( Leon Chester Banker ). Leon's brother, Benjamin Arthur Banker, was one of the founders of Coldwell Banker. LCB Associates has been a sole proprietorship of Steve Banker, and in June 2002, incorporated under the name of LCB Commercial Real Estate, a California corporation, dba LCB Associates.
