Mammoth Unified School District

Mammoth Unified School District has been operational for more than 40 years. Located in Mammoth Lakes, Calif., the school district offers educational and cocurricular programs for children in prekindergarten through grade 12. It comprises more than 15 elementary, middle and high schools and special education centers, and enrolls over 5,000 students annually. The school district utilizes various classroom strategies and practices, such as cooperative learning, peer tutoring, teacher guidance, team teaching, differentiated instruction, multiple path learning, looping classrooms, and teaming solutions. It also uses academic intervention and guidance, testing sessions, counseling, study skill work, monitoring procedures, partners in education program, the multiage classroom method, and an integrated curriculum. Additionally, Mammoth Unified School District employs more than 100 teachers, social workers, night custodians, therapists, counselors, paraprofessionals, and care managers.
