Madera Unified School District

Established in 1966, the Madera Unified School District serves more than 18,000 students and employs over 2,000 staff members. Located in Madera, Calif., the school district provides educational services to students in kindergarten through grade 12. Its schools support a variety of sports activities, such as basketball, soccer, tennis, golf, baseball and volleyball. Its schools academic curriculum includes language arts, math, science and social studies. The Madera Unified School District also provides special education classes to gifted and talented students. The school district features a library and media center that maintains a collection of books, magazines and reference materials. Its schools offer a range of extracurricular activities that includes art, music, drama, dance, and technical and physical education. In addition, its schools operate chess, bowling, bike, fashion and environmental clubs. The school district also provides food, transportation, guidance counseling and medical care. The Madera Unified School District operates more than 20 elementary, middle and high schools.
