History

I started my practice in Truckee, CA, in 1995. Prior thereto I practiced in Oakland with the firm of Hardin, Cook, et al.

Specialties

I have been certified by the State Bar Association as a specialist in Family Law based on my experience, a further bar exam, and the recommendations of Judges and colleagues. After years of litigating cases, I redirected the emphasis of my practice to mediation. In mediation I meet with both parties, identify the legal issues of their case, have the parties gather information/documents necessary, reach a fair resolution between them, and prepare the documents necessary to have the parties' resolution made a Judgment of the Court. Mediation is a less expensive and less acrimonious method of obtaining a divorce, which I recommend. If a case is destined for litigation, I provide years of experience to help my clients navigate the often frustrating process.
