HistoryWe believe that all people should have the opportunity to learn music. JJ Music has been supplying musical instruction for children and schools for over 10 years. Some of these schools were but not limited to- College of Marin, Golden Gate Theological Seminary, Summit Christian School (Fair Oaks), Marin Horizon School, and Marin Christian Academy. Our passion is to see that all kids have the opportunity to learn music. Multiple Classes at Multiple Location We have multiple classes offered throughout the week and some are held at schools and others in different facilities. We limit our classes to 10 kids at a time to offer dedicated instruction and focus our enrollment by skill and experience rather than age. Our classes are one-hour long. Studies have shown that musical education helps increase the academic performance for kids.SpecialtiesWe believe that all children should have the opportunity to have musical education. Right now, we are primarily teaching guitar and ukulele. JJ Music exists to equip musicians at whatever level of competency to pursue their dreams. We desire that all artists find fulfillment in their craft. We believe that kids should learn how to read music and play by ear. Sheet music provides the fundamentals they'll need to grow while playing by ears makes learning music fun and something they can do anywhere. The primary materials we use for instruction are: Guitar for Kids - Hal Leonard Guitar Method Ukulele for Kids - The Hal Leonard Ukulele Method and our own material that we've put together.
